Brian McKelvey is a Managing Director with Bright Harbor Advisors, a private placement advisor to top-tier PE, VC, credit, and other alternative asset GPs, as well as sponsor and non-sponsor backed direct deals, both primary and secondary. Brian began his career in finance in 2007 as a wealth advisor with a division of Citigroup, advising investors using holistic financial planning strategies. He then transitioned his focus to institutional money management by joining Transamerica Capital Management, marketing retirement products and services to independent wealth advisors in broker/dealers, banks, and major wirehouse firms. Brian is the former Director of Marketing & Business Development of Crescat Capital, and former Business Development Consultant of Weatherstone Capital Management. He also served as Senior Executive-Origination-US for Melior Capital Management, a Swiss-based co-investment and advisory life sciences placement agent. Most recently, Brian was a Managing Director with Weild & Co., a middle-market investment bank, working with founders and entrepreneurs in seeking out and securing financing from institutional investors. Brian studied Finance and Management at Regis University and is Series 6, 63, and 82 licensed with FINRA.
